Sattahip, Chonburi — Between November 26–27, 2025 Drone Association Thailand sent a team of drone technology experts into the field to train students and staff of the Naval Ratings School in Chonburi Province, in a course covering both flight simulator training, drone control programming and competitive activities such as Drone Soccer which drew strong interest from trainees of all ages at the school.
🎯 Objectives of the Training
The Association set the goals of this training to:
Promote drone technology knowledge and skills among Thai youth
Build STEM potential (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)
Open new perspectives on using drone innovation creatively and competitively
Develop both control skills and logical thinking through drone programming
📌 Key Training Content
✅ 1. Flight Simulator
The training began by letting participants try flying drones through a simulator, which helped trainees:
Understand how to control a drone systematically
Reduce the risk of real-world flying
Build foundational confidence before flying a real drone in the field
🚀 2. Drone Programming
In-depth programming training was the heart of this activity, focusing on helping trainees:
Understand command structure and flight logic
Write programs to make drones operate automatically
Build creative thinking and problem-solving skills
⚽ 3. Drone Soccer (A New Kind of Drone Sport)
One activity that drew especially strong student interest was Drone Soccer — a drone competition on the field that blends sport and technology, where trainees had to:
Control drones to compete as a team
Use precision and planning skills
Gain real-world experience applying drones in competition
Drone Soccer This is an activity growing rapidly in education and technology circles, as it helps young people learn real-time device control along with competitive thinking and in-field competition strategy.
📈 Results of the Training
Over the two days of the event:
✨ Participants actively engaged in learning and trying out drones in various forms
✨ Students showed dedication and growth in their thinking skills
✨ School staff gained guidance and basic skills for running ongoing drone activities in the future
✨ Knowledge exchange took place between the Association and the school to build on the curriculum next year
